Classic Krakow in 1.5 Days: Old Town, Wawel Hill and Wieliczka Salt Mine Guided Tour

The best of Krakow: walk around the Old Town, see the magnificent residence of Polish kings on Wawel Hill in the heart of Krakow, and explore the mysterious and amazingly beautiful underground corridors and halls of the former salt mine in Wieliczka

Set off with your guide through the charming streets of the Old Town and enter one of the symbols of Krakow - St. Mary's Church. Look towards the sky and discover the beautiful vault and the altar in front of you, carved by the great master Veit Stoss.
Listen to urban legends while walking around the Main Square, which has been the central square of Royal Krakow for 800 years! Whatever happened here only at this time! Goods from all over the world were sold in the trade rows, which made Krakow merchants rich, the city authorities strictly supervised order, the executioner tortured suspects in the dungeons of the town hall, and kings paraded through the square to get to their castle. Oh, what a time it was...
The most interesting traces of ancient events can still be found on the Market Square, and even more so under the Market Square! You will go 4 meters underground to the archaeological Underground Museum to be on the same level as the cobbled roads of Krakow from the 12th-13th centuries and discover Krakow anew.
Visiting the Wawel Royal Castle we have the opportunity to feel and imagine what the backstage of the rulers' lives looked like, about which we most often know only in which year they were crowned and a few points about what they managed to achieve, or quite the contrary. At Wawel Castle you can forget about the textbook notes. Walk through the chambers where it all happened. Discovering the secrets of the Castle will be an unforgettable lesson that will take you to the "golden times" of the Polish Kingdom.
After the tour you will have a traditional Polish lunch (soup + main course). And after that you will be taken to Wieliczka.
Wieliczka - a small town 10 km from Krakow, where one of the largest ancient salt mines in Europe (700 years). The depth of the mine is 340 metres, the total length of corridors and tunnels is over 245 kilometres.
The tourist route is more than 3 km long and includes more than 20 halls, including the largest and unique St. Kinga's Church - the patroness of miners. The underground church is richly decorated with chandeliers, carvings and sculptures of saints carved out of salt. There is a special curative microclimate in the mine and at a depth of 135 m there is a sanatorium.
The salt mine in Wieliczka is on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
